There’s no stopping the mighty Miley Cyrus who’s officially on course to claim her first ever UK No.1 this Sunday with her new single We Can’t Stop.

In today’s Official Chart Update, the American sensation has shifted nearly 80,000 copies of her infectious pop hit, which is enough to knock Avicii from the top spot after spending three weeks as the nation’s No.1.

Elsewhere in the midweek Top 5, Wake Me Up slips to No.2 and this week’s highest new entry comes from Tinie Tempah who’s single Trampoline Ft. 2 Chainz enters at No.3.

Lana Del Rey vs Cedric Gervais holds at No.4 with Summertime Sadness while Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines rounds things off at No.5.

Also creeping their way into the Top 10 are Yahoo! Wireless headliners Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake with Holy Grail climbing to No.8.
