Just hours remain before Tuesday’s presidential elections and celebrities offered their views on the issues facing America. On Sunday, Billboard published its interview with stars such as Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Mary J. Blige to get their thoughts on the political issues that they are most passionate about.
Katy Perry shared her interest in seeing equal rights for women. The 28-year-old singer said, “The number one issue for me is equal rights whether it’s being able to being equal in love; whether you’re being treated equally whether you have ovaries or not.”
Miley Cyrus is now 19-years-old and offered her view on the importance of participating in the political process. “This is the first time that I’ve ever gotten to vote and it’s important to know that you really make a difference in where you live and making what this country really is. I just think it’s important for young people to really know that their input means something and that they do have choice,” said the former Disney actress.
